This is the first drawing I made after finding out that the sunflower was Ukraine’s national flower. The juxtaposition of the yellow in the flowers was a natural match with the blue sky, evoking the national flag. The image was used as a fundraiser to support humanitarian efforts of the Red Cross in Ukraine, and friends and colleagues helped raise thousands of dollars for those in need.
